What gets listed
- The tool works, is publicly available and has a clear website.
- It does something useful for a real task, not just a thin wrapper around another product with nothing added.
- Pricing and data-handling information is available.
How we rank tools within a task
- Result quality for the task, based on hands-on use.
- Value: what you get on the free plan and per dollar.
- Ease of use for a non-expert.
- Trust: company track record, privacy terms, stability.
Keeping information current
Each tool page shows when it was last verified. We check links automatically and re-check pricing pages regularly. If you spot something outdated, use the "Report outdated info" link on the tool page.
